BRADY MAKES IT TWO IN A ROW AT PERRIS CA
USAC National Sprint car win #6 in 2019 for Brady and Team Hoffman came Friday at Perris CA. during the Budweiser Oval Nationals. That put Brady in the top 6 in points for the first two nights and locked him into the feature Saturday night.

Bad luck hit during the A Main Saturday, as a car stopped on the track. Brady could not get stopped in time and spun the car. He avoided any damage to the car, but had to restart last. He raced his way up to 12th by the time the checkered flag flew.
The season ends with a two night program in Arizona.

Hoffman Racing now has amassed a record of 114 USAC National Sprint Car wins. Good luck this weekend Brady and Team

RESULTS FROM “SMACK DOWN” 2019

The Smack Down takes points from Thursday and Friday to determine the top 8 in points that run the “King Of The Hill” , an elimination race to determine starting positions for the Saturday finale.

Thursday night was a good night , qualifying 7th, 3rd in the heat and 4th in the A Main. Friday pretty much ruined any chance of winning Saturday. The motor began to fail in qualifying resulting in a 33rd qualifying time. The crew did another amazing job of changing motors in time for the heat race, the crew won the “Hard Work” award. We finished 4th and transferred to the A Main. Brady was on his game and won the “Hard Charger “ award by moving form the back to finish 10 in the A Main.

The damage was already done, resulting in not making the top 8 in points and having to run the first heat race Saturday. Brady ran away with that heat and the best we could start was 9th in the A Main. On a track very hard to pass , Sunshine lead all 40 laps from the pole and Brady finish 7th. He tried every line on the track during the 40 laps, driving as hard as ever, gaining 2 spots.

On to Granite City for a sprint and midget double header , hope to see you there!

“TRUE GRIT” , DETERMINATION , COMPETITIVE SPIRIT AND TEAM WORK WERE THE HALL MARKS OF THE MEAN GREEN HOFFMAN TEAM WITH BRADY BACON IN ISW 2019

Yearly ,Indiana Sprint Week is a grind. Now it is 8 races in 10 days and including the rain make up race at Eldora, it was 9 races in 11 days. It takes true racers to survive, much less thrive in that tough highly competitive atmosphere. ISW is hard on drivers, crews and equipment. Arguably a few gremlins cost the HAR Team the ISW title.

The crew did a tremendous job with a motor change and 2 rear end changes under tremendous time pressure. A big shout out to the entire Team, bus especially crew Chief Matt and Chief Mechanic and Tire Monkey(I say that with pride as an ex-tire monkey) DJ. The Team had a very successful ISW 2019. The data speaks for itself:

Qualifying average(mechanical issues caused a poor result at TH)- 5.6 without TH 4.1

Heat race average finish( when we finished, dropped out of heat at Lawrenceburg)- 2.3

We ran 1 semi and won it

A main average finish- 3.5
came from 16th-4th at TH, won hard charger award
came from tail to 7th at Bloomington after motor issue

came from 15th-5th and won hard charger at Haubstadt

Finished 2nd in ISW points and went from 6th in USAC National Points to 2nd during ISW .

No rest for the crew as Brady Bacon Racing heads to Knoxville for the 360 and 410 Nationals

Hoffman Racing is back at it on Aug 21-24 for the Kokomo Smack Down.

GET OUT THE BROOMS, BACON SWEEPS THE BRANDT CORN BELT NATIONALS IN THE MEAN GREEN HOFFMAN #69 AT KNOXVILLE IOWA

In the super competitive world of USAC National Sprint Car Racing, it is a rare race where the winner dominates. That is exactly what happened at the first "Brandt Corn Belt Nationals” finale Saturday night.

Brady qualified 6th in flight #2 and as he did Friday night, dominated his heat race. Being the second highest in Corn Belt points, he started outside front row. Brady gassed the Mean Green/Hoffman/Purple Heart car and beat pole sitter Justin Grant to the first turn. He was gone!!! Brady had a 7 second lead with 10 to go and won by a convincing 8.3 seconds on the big, fast half mile track. The only obstacles along the way were lapped cars. He masterfully got through a few tense laps.

In winning Brady collects the $20,000 first prize money for being the premier winner of the annual Brandt Corn Belt Nationals before a huge crowd. He now moves into 16th spot on the all time USAC National Sprint Car wins list. He has won 3 of the last 5 National races and now has won 19 National races in the iconic Hoffman #69 sprinter. Brady has clearly established momentum for the crucial part of the schedule around the corner, Indiana Sprint Week. First we go to Eldora , another of our favorite tracks.

A big shout out to Matt and DJ for a tremendous performance. Thanks to Brady’s and Xix Xianna’s families for the unwavering support. Of course none of this would be possible without our loyal sponsors Mean Green, Rust-Oleum, Lykins, TelStar, XXX, Fat Headz, Jonathan Byrd, Imperial Meats among others.

Congrats to new car owner Rob Hoffman for 2 in a row. Knowing that Old Timer and Richard are smiling down on us. The family tradition continues, now with 112 USA National Sprint Car wins.

Only a few folks will understand this, but Xia Xianna, I think Brady won last night in Richard’s game.

THE MEAN GREEN HOFFMAN TEAM COMES BACK FROM ADVERSITY, AS BACON SIZZLES TO WIN NIGHT 1OF THE BRANDT CORN BELT NATIONAL

On the second lap of qualifying, the motor started to fail. Brady still was 5th quick in flight 1, but the crew had a big challenge to get the spare motor in the car for the 2nd heat race. Congrats to Matt, DJ and crew for a masterful job in getting the job done. This doesn’t happen by accident, proper planning and preparation makes this happen.

Brady started 5th in the second heat , by the time the cars were on the back stretch, he had the lead. and never looked back.

This set up an epic A main featuring multiple groove racing , the main characters being Brady, KTJ(Kevin Thomas Jr), The Bear(Chris Windom) and Sunshine(Tyler Courtney). KTJ and Chris battled high and low grooves early. Brady used his many laps at Knoxville and used the middle to pass for the lead. The Bear got by him, but Brady recovered to pass him again on lap 14. Lapped traffic came into play on lap 20 of the 25 lap Feature. Again , Brady passed between two cars. Brady retained the lead and led from lap 14-25, for his 26th USAC National Sprint Car win.

For those of you who keep stats , the Hoffman/Mean Green/ Purple Heart Team now have a record setting 109 USAC National Sprint Car wins.

Drop by the Bacon’s merch trailer tonight, they have an amazing variety of Bacon/Mean Green/Hoffman merchandise including new tydie shirts and “Wine-Me-Dine Me” t’s.

ANOTHER HARD CHARGER AWARD FOR BRADY AT PORT ROYAL

Port Royal has been one of our favorite tracks over the years. It is a big 1/2 mile where you can let it rip. Brady was in the top five in hot laps. Once again we had issues in qualifying and put ourselves in a hole for the A main.

Brady led every lap of his heat race, but had to start deep in the field for the feature.

Once again he came through the field and by moving up 10 positions, he won The Hard Charger Award once again.

The race at Weedsport scheduled for tonight has been rained out. We are back at it this Saturday at Putnamville.

BRADY IS THE “HARD CHARGER” AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Night two of The Eastern Storm saw Brady 2nd quick in hot laps. This was a night when going out later didn’t help much in qualifying. He ended up 12th quick, a good 0.5 off fast time. We finished 2nd in the 3rd heat to transfer to the A Main.

We had a good car in the feature, moving from 12th to 7th and earning Brady the “KSE Racing Products Hard Charger” award for the race.

Brady is now in 3rd place in The Eastern Storm standings , only 9 points out of first place.

Tonight’s race has already been called off due to excessive rain. Brady will be running the Silver Crown race tomorrow night at William grove and The Eastern Storm returns Saturday night, at one of our favorite tracks, Port Royal.

BACON SIZZLES IN THE MEAN GREEN HOFFMAN SPRINTER AS HE DOMINATES THE FIRST RACE OF THE 2019 EASTER STORM

Brady Bacon pulled off a remarkable feat by winning the first race of the Easter Storm Series for the third year in a row. Brady admitted that this was the first year that he felt that he had the best car for the race at Grandview Speedway. He had a scare in hot laps, as he biked the car and recovered, but stuck with the game plan and qualified 5th. He transferred to the A main in the second heat and prepared for the big money race which paid $10,000 to win.

Starting outside of row one, Brady jumped to the lead in turn one and never looked back. In a dominating fashion he led all 40 laps. At lap 10 he had a 1 second lead and after a red flag, built his lead to 3.5 sec with 10 laps to go. Behind him was a torrid battle for spots 2-7.

For Brady it was USAC National Sprint win #25, which ties him for 18th all time. It also is the 17th USAC National Sprint win in the Hoffman car, first all time in the 90 year history of HAR. The win marked another significant win for HAR as it was our 110th USAC National Sprint win. It was the first win without our beloved Richard Hoffman.

Eldora usac Lets Race 2 - night one

The first night at the race track without Richard had a flurry of emotions hit us. It sure wasn't the same without him, but we knew he was happy looking down on us and carrying on the Hoffman tradition, as was his wish.

We were fast all night. Overall we were second in qualifying. Starting 6th in heat #3, Brady quickly got to the lead and ran away for the win.

The A Main had us starting 5th. Tyler Courtney got to the lead from 7th and was gone. Behind him was a torrid battle with Brady, Thomas, Windom, Short and Leary. Brady drove hard and smart, as usual, got to third and put on a torrid battle with Leary for second. A 3rd place finish was a good night and good points night.

Night #2 we qualified 4th, finished 2nd in heat 4 and it rained. The race is rescheduled for 14 July. Kansas City here we come next weekend

USAC NATIONAL SPRINT CAR WIN #1 FOR THE 2019 SEASON COMES AT BLOOMINGTON 4/12/19
The first win ,since being reunited and “it feels so good”, came Friday night for Brady and the Mean Green Hoffman Team. The win adds to the all-time USAC Sprint wins at 109 for the Mean Green Team and adds to Brady’s list as the all time winningest driver in the 90 year history of the Hoffman Team at 16. The Team is honored to carry the Military Order Of The Purple Heart on the car again this year.

The Team was ready to rock and roll from the hot lap session, as we were 2nd quick. The track slowed by the time we qualified and we ended up 8th quick. The second heat race was a precursor to what would occur in the A main as Brady won easily.

Starting from the pole in the A main, Brady never looked back. Leading every lap he sat the new 30 lap track record for Bloomington and led over KTJ by as much as 4 seconds at times. Brady had to tread the needle several times sneaking between lapped cars. He lapped all the way up to 13th place.
We hope to see all of our fans at The Big E for “Let’s Race two” on 10 and 11 May. One of our favorite tracks, we will be competitive for wins both nights.

Our results in the opening three races in Florida, certainly don’t reflect the fact that we had a fast race car every night. On nights 1 & 2 we qualified 5th and 3rd. On night 3 we drew the vary last pill and about 8 cars before we went out the track slowed substantially and we qualified 12th.

We transferred to the A Main through the heat races every night. The track took rubber on night 2 , started to night 1 and 3. Our pattern nights one and two was to run up front early and fade when the track slicked off. Night two we had a right rear going down and finally blew with about 5 to go. It had no rubber left, down to the cord and blew, as did a number of other cars. The crew did a great job getting the car back out . Night 3 we were running quicker laps than the winner, Brady went for it several times and lost a few positions on a very slick track.

We have some work to do before Lawrenceburg, we will be ready for our home track
It was great to visit again with the USAC racing family and friends who made the trip. Our web master Paul, friends Bob, Larry and grandson Nathan. Most of all Richard’s grandson August and his wife Megan who are serving  our great Country in the US Air Force

.

Loveland, OH (Dec 21, 2018) Hoffman Auto Racing is proud to announce that Mean Green Cleaner & Degreaser will return as the primary sponsor and with 15 USAC National Sprint Car wins and two USAC National Sprint Car Championships for HAR, Brady Bacon is back in the seat.

HAR now boasts 108 USAC National Sprint Car wins with 103 of them awarding National points, all since 1989.When we were unable to work things out for 2019 with Kevin Thomas Jr., we jumped on the chance to get Brady back in the Mean Green car. We want to thank KTJ for all he and Whitney did for us in 2018 and we wish them nothing but the best in the future. I am so grateful to the professionals at Rust-Oleum for allowing HAR to continue to pursue USAC National Championship #12 in 2019 in our 90th year of operation,” said Richard Hoffman President of HAR.

USAC NATIONAL WIN #7 FOR THE 2018 USAC NATIONAL SPRINT CAR SEASON COMES AT THE LAST RACE IN PERRIS CA., CONGRATS TO SUNSHINE AND TEAM FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP

After 40 USAC National Races , it came down to the last lap of the last race  to determine the Championship.

Night one of the Budweiser Oval Nationals saw KTJ break the record for the number of fast times in a USAC National Sprint Car season. That record stood at 14, set by Tom Bigelow in 1978. KTJ transferred through heat #1 .  The track took rubber in the A Main and a 5th place A Main finish was the best we could do. Our point deficit was at -7 after night one.

Night two saw us qualify 6th quick and transfer through by winning the first heat. We were unable to capitalize on a front row starting position in the A main as Sunshine started next to us. A torrid battle ensued and we finished third.  The point deficit grew slightly and was -9 going into the season finale.

Being in the top 6 in points after the first 2 nights of competition, we were locked into the A Main. The dash saw us finish third and start there in the A Main. The circumstances that followed that into the A Main determined the USA National Sprint Car Championship. The Mean Green Hoffman Team did everything we could do , it just wasn’t meant to be. KTJ did his job and won the race. We had the race and championship in hand until the last lap of the last race. The car ahead of Sunshine ran out of fuel on the last lap allowing the #7 Team to tie in points.  Incredible to think that after all the races, starting in Florida in February, KTJ and Tyler Courtney would be tied with 2793 points each. The tie breaker was number of wins in a season, the Clauson Marshall Newman Team had 11, we had 7. Congrats to out good friend Tim Clauson and family on a Championship. We are very happy for you.
Thanks to KTJ, Whitney, Brad, AJ and Austin for an incredible year.  No one knows what the future brings, we just know this year was memorable in the storied history of Hoffman racing.
